Dubai: bringing together brilliant & like-hearted people from across the world.
We’ve just wrapped up a jam-packed week of talks, workshops, and camel ice-cream escapades; otherwise know as the Islamic Economy Week. We were humbled to run some workshops during this week at the Dubai Design and Fashion Council (DDFC) and at the Global Islamic Economy Summit (GIES).
Workshop: Designing a Memorable Brand for the Islamic Economy
First up, Peter was invited by the DDFC to run a workshop on Designing a Memorable Brand for the Islamic Economy. Check out this review on My Salaam.
GIES Workshop: How Might We 10x the Global Islamic Economy for our shared future?
The Global Islamic Economy Summit had the theme of “A Shared Future” this year, bringing together brilliant people from the space which has become a community of like-hearted change makers. There was no better place than here in Dubai to run a workshop on brainstorming out-of-the-box ideas on how we can together bring 10x positive growth and change to the Islamic Economy.
The teams created some epic presentations and inspiring ideas were shared, for example, creating a mind-shift to associate Islam with positive thought leadership.
Panel: Innovation At The Edges
Ahmed Daoud, our Chief Innovation Officer at Zileej brought together some truly exceptional speakers to discuss all things innovation. The discussion ranged from starting with intentionality in innovation to creating cultures that encourage diversity of thought.
Islamic Economy Award for Arts
Congratulations to our talented friend and inspiring designer Ruh Al-Alam for receiving the Islamic Economy Award for Islamic Arts. His pioneering work in contemporary Arabic typography & calligraphy is well deserving of this recognition.
